Preparing technology for an office move

A practical checklist for internet, cabling, networks, phones, devices and cutover day.

Start before the lease handover

Business internet and structured cabling can have long lead times. Inspect the new premises early, confirm carrier availability and map desk, meeting-room, Wi-Fi and equipment requirements.

Build a cutover plan

Create a timeline covering both offices and assign responsibility for suppliers, access, equipment and testing.

  • Order internet services and confirm installation dates
  • Plan cabling, racks, power and cooling
  • Survey Wi-Fi coverage
  • Confirm phone-number porting and call flows
  • Label equipment and back up important data
  • Test internet, phones, printing and remote access before opening

One team for the move

ITSPLUS can coordinate connectivity, cabling, networks, cloud phones, computers and the move-day cutover. This reduces gaps between suppliers and gives staff one support contact.
